What a pretty town it looks like! I just love that old brick. It's so beautiful!

Amy

Glad you're settling in to your new town. It looks nice and if there's a lake nearby - all the better. We are just praying for the rain to stop here - can't take another day. At this point in June normally I would have been swimming maybe 10 times but this year - not even once. So far, it's the summer that wasn't.

Downtown Acworth looks lovely! I love that house in the third photo!

I had to chuckle at your statement about not being a gardener. :) It's a dirty business for sure.

Genny

I didn't know you had moved recently!? Is your hubby in the military? It sounds like you know Georgia pretty well though...

Grey Street Girl

What a cool town! Congrats on the move!

Terry Kearns

Super Acworth pictures. Keep them coming. I like how the green house's porch is loaded with kid gear.

Natalie

Looks like a real nice town. Have fun exploring!

DesignTies

Great houses -- love the colours and the interesting architecture. The second house is my favourite.

Make sure you bring a GPS everywhere you go till you get the lay of the land!!

Enjoy your new hometown. I'm originally from South Georgia.

TheOldPostRoad

LOVE small town Georgia. I have lived in 3 Georgia small towns (5 if you count Macon and Marietta). (You have a great eye to think to take a picture of the cracked brick on the top of that building.)

abeachcottage

oh wow I'd love to come visit, looks so wonderful

hope you settle in quickly

It Feels Like Chaos

Porch Days

Thanks for visiting Porch Days. Painting abstracts is harder than it looks! But you should try again! I'll keep practicing.

Oh wow, the side of the building with those old time ads is so cool. Just love that kind of thing. Wishing you happy adventures in your new hometown. Jane T.

Edwina- HouseAHolic

Looks gorgeous! Love the bricks.

Angela @ PeonyPatch

Cute town! I'm a Farmer's Market as well - I don't do bugs, worms, and/or slithers!!

What a great glimpse into your world.

I've never seen houses like this before, especially here in Sydney, Australia. I like how history has been maintained in your hometown; what a cute coca-cola sign.

Julia @ Hooked on Houses

What a fun tour! I really love the painted advertisements on the side of that building.

Porch Days

You asked where I'm from. Baxley, not far from Mt. Vernon. I have family near Atlanta in Woodstock and Lawrenceville. Your photos looked typical Georgia. I'm putting you on my blog list.

Jane

Looks beautiful! Far cry from my current "town." The porches alone would have me at hello.

pk @ room remix

congratulations on your move! such a cute town.

Teresa

I love small southern towns and their historic districts...

adrienne @ susan palmer designs

Oh what a charming town you live in! I love these pictures, thanks for sharing!

elizabeth

love the Coca-Cola building.

I had a CSA for a year but didn't do it again. It was nice (esp. the recipes/cooking suggestions) but I got enough stuff in there that I couldn't eat it all + visit farmers' markets. And that was sad.
